Woolworths Just Launched A Vegan Biscoff Cake

The Woolworths mud cakes is an icon, we all know this. How many times has the moist chocolatey cake saved the day? A birthday you’d forgotten about, a dinner at a BYO restaurant, or just a simply set up for an office birthday—it can do everything.

Over the past coupe of years Woolworth’s has released further cake options to make you an instant hero, and now they’ve leant into the nation’s Biscoff obsession with a Lotus Biscoff cake hitting the shelves.

“Woolworths customers already love Lotus Biscoff, with millions of Lotus Biscoff products sold in our stores every year,” Woolworths Category Manager for Instore Bakery, Michael Gullery told New Idea Food.

The Woolworths Vanilla Cake with Lotus Biscoff features two layers, and is covered in a vegan buttercream which is infused with Lotus Biscoff. It’s finished off with crushed Biscoff biscuit pieces, and a single biscuit on top.

Woolworths’ Vanilla Cake with Lotus Biscoff is available Australia-wide for $8.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.
