Add a Gin Garnish Wreath To Your Christmas Wishlist

Ginius.

A wreath that is as functional as it is beautiful? Count us in.

You know that the festive season is creeping in when you start to see wreaths pop-up around the suburbs. It’s one of the most carried-out traditions for Christmas, and honestly, one of the most beautiful.

If you’re a gin-lover, then why not celebrate all the incredible gin botanicals that are coming out of Australia right now, with a gin-garnish wreath?

Created by September Studio in collaboration with The Botanist Gin, made out of native botanicals that compliment The Botanist Gin, including eucalyptus perriniana, eutaxia obovata, blue gum, paper daisies, grevillea and leucadendrons.

The wreath also has Australia forageables throughout it, which can be used to garnish a Botanist g&t, such as lemon myrtle and geraldton wax.

Picture this: you’re making g&t’s for a festive gathering of friends, who can go and pluck a garnish of their choice from your Christmas wreath. Pretty special, right?

You can buy your own The Botanist Christmas wreath from September Studio in Darlinghurst for $165 a pop. There’s also the option to add on a 700mL bottle of gin for an extra $90.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
