It’s fiesta time city-dwellers, the cult-favourite, U.S. chain Taco Bell announced its fifth NSW store, and it’s coming to the CBD.

It was announced the new store is coming to Green Square on Tuesday, 4 May—because taco Tuesday. To celebrate the grand opening, Taco Bell Green Square is gearing up to welcome excited fans with a fun-filled day featuring giveaways of much-loved merchandise including their signature oversized taco hats and FIRE sauce socks. Fans will also have the opportunity to interact with the Taco Bell music kiosk and check out the bespoke graffiti mural created by Sydney artist, Simon Murray @kadeosstheboss.

With the opening of Green Square, Taco Bell brings its total NSW stores to five and national stores to 21, with one opening in Tamworth later in the year.

In NSW alone, Taco Bell has served over 580,000 customers. No surprises the most popular menu item is Tacos, with over 617,000 devoured across the state at locations in Blacktown, Jesmond, Albion Park and Ballina.

The most recent Taco Bell restaurant opening in Ballina attracted over 1000 taco-loving patrons on opening day.  Being the first inner Sydney location, the opening day crowd for Green Square is expected to smash all records for NSW.

Taco Bell Green Square is situated in the stunning residential and retail precinct Infinity by Crown Group, set directly above Green Square train station. The site features four Kiosks, 30 dine-in seats and an interactive music kiosk.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
