Mr Black COCONUTS! Sees Mr Black Collab With Bundaberg Rum

The Mr Black you're used to, with added rum and coconut.

Mr Black has been carving out a name for himself over the past few years, Mr Black Coffee Liqueur has been the fastest-growing brand in the global coffee liqueur category. Made in a purpose-built coffee roastery near Sydney, Mr Black blends Arabica coffees with Australian wheat vodka to create their trademark liqueur. Now, Mr Black has released its latest drink, a collaboration with none other than Bundaberg Rum called Mr Black COCONUTS!

‘COCONUTS!’ is a blend of rum and coffee liqueur, using Mr Black’s signature cold brew Arabica coffee, and blending it with Bundaberg Small Batch Reserve Rum, and coconuts.

“Our last three releases have been real spirits-nerd stuff. Lots of oak, barrel-ageing – serious
nose-in-the-glass products. This is the opposite, it’s tropical fun in a bottle. Chill it, sip it, mix
it with coke, or shake up an Espresso Martini. It’s delicious no matter how you drink it. After
all the rain we’ve had this year, I’m looking forward to a few drinks in the summer sunshine”
shares Mr Black Managing Founder, Tom Baker.

“this year, we were lucky enough to travel to Bundy to hand-select the
spirits used in this edition. In 2021 we were locked out of QLD so we had to send barrels
instead. We’ve really upped the rum in this year’s edition. Between the coconuts and coffee,
there’s a lot of flavours competing for your attention, yet it’s still incredibly well balanced.”

You can pick up Mr Black COCONUTS! Rum and Coffee Liqueur from the Mr Black website, Dan Murphy’s, the Bundaberg Rum Distillery, and BWS in Queensland only.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
