Macca’s Just Launched a Birthday McFlurry

The Custard Pie also makes a return.

McDonald’s has just launched their new Birthday McFlurry—which means you can celebrate your birthday every day of the year if you feel like it. The Birthday McFlurry is around for a limited time only and features bite-sized pieces of custard pie that’s added to classic Macca’s soft serve and topped with caramel sauce and birthday sprinkles.

“Our new McFlurry flavour was inspired by iconic Aussie birthday party favourites including Birthday Cake and Fairy Bread, to create a nostalgic and delicious dessert that will put everyone in the birthday spirit.

“New McFlurry flavours are always a hit with our customers, so we thought this would be a delicious way to continue our 50-year celebrations.

“In response to strong customer demand, we will also be reintroducing a much-loved and highly requested crowd favourite, the Custard Pie, giving Aussies even more reason to celebrate our 50-year milestone.” said McDonald’s Australia marketing manager, Amanda Nakad.

McDonald’s Birthday McFlurry and Custard Pie are available exclusively on Uber Eats from Wednesday, 30 June before it lands in McDonald’s restaurants around Australia from Wednesday, 7 June.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
