For those missing the thrills and spins of Luna Park, rejoice, Sydney’s iconic home of fun is set to reopen in June with nine new rides. Although we’re not sure of the others, the first ride is a family rollercoaster, the Little Nipper.

The introduction of new rides in one year alone makes this one of the biggest single upgrades of any amusement park in the world. Yes, that’s a big feat. In 2020, the park was forced to close, like many other establishments, and its awakening is sure to excite Sydneysiders and visitors.

The Little Nipper is a vibrant blue rollercoaster that offers a side-seat for little ones, enough oomph to give kids a thrill while leaving parent’s stomachs intact, and has found its new home nestled in the north-east corner of the Park.

The Park will also welcome a brand new, state of the art, multi-launch coaster and an incredible world-first with the introduction of a single rail launch coaster.

Although, rollercoasters and rides aren’t the only shiny new toys at Luna Park. Today, the home of Australia’s most famous face, unveiled a complete facelift to lunaparksydney.com, bringing to life Luna Park 2.0 both on and offline.

With the re-opening campaign dubbed “Next Level Fun, Sydney get ready to SCREAM!”, thrill-seekers and fun-lovers can now officially start planning their trips to what will be a truly world-class amusement park, by nabbing one of the new, limited Annual Passes.

Those lucky enough to nab one of the new $199 Annual Passes in this first release, will have six months of exclusive access to the benefits of the Park’s new loyalty program.

The Luna Perks Loyalty Program will be an exclusive club putting guests in control of racking up points to unlock special offers, food, toys, show bags and memorabilia as well as unforgettable experiences including the enviable opportunity to turn on those iconic Luna Park lights. The idea is the more you visit, the more rides you go on, the more fun you have and the more points you score.

Luna Perks will be exclusive to Annual Pass holders from June and all other guests from December 2021.

Watch this space for more updates on the new rides coming soon.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
