Krispy Kreme is Giving Away 20,000 Doughnuts in Melbourne This Friday

Find out how to get your hands on one. Or ten.

Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed doughnuts, straight outta the oven.

National Doughnut Day happened to fall right on Melbourne’s mini three-week lockdown, so Melburnians missed out on the Krispy Kreme giveaway.

But they promised it would come and they’re delivering. This Friday in Melbourne Krispy Kreme is giving away 20,000 Original Glazed doughnuts for free. That’s right, free.

There are no catches. All you’ll need to catch is a ride to your nearest Krispy Kreme store to claim your free doughnut.

In preparation for the big day, Krispy Kreme will glaze 2000 Original Glazed doughnuts per hour (that’s 33 doughnuts a minute), so they can provide us all with their most beloved secret glaze recipe, that has been charming our taste buds since the 1930’s.

National Doughnut Day is our absolute favourite day of the year – we love sharing the joy of our famous Original Glazed doughnuts and relish the chance to put a smile on our customers’ faces,” said Krispy Kreme’s Retail Director, Nicole Steele.

Still glazed and confused by this too sweet to be true deal? Don’t be.

Doughnut-lovers can visit any participating Krispy Kreme Australia shop to grab their free doughnut on July 9 to celebrate.

Social distancing will apply in-store as per State Government regulations and store drive-thrus will be open for a contactless experience. Customers are urged to visit the Krispy Kreme website to find out more about the giveaway.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
