Koko Black and Ben Shewry Recreate Attica’s Best Dishes in a Box of Chocolates

Inspired by dishes from Attica.

koko black x attica

Koko Black’s master chocolatier, Remco Brigou is known for his innovative chocolates, but this recent collaboration takes the cake. Teaming up with Australia’s most innovative restaurant, Attica, the Koko Black x Attica degustation box is one-of-a-kind.

Brigou and Attica head chef Ben Shewry worked together on the limited edition chocolate box titled ‘Stories in Chocolate by Ben Shewry.’ Although, this isn’t your typical chocolate box. The pair have recreated the signature dishes that have made Shewry and Attica a worldwide celebrated name—in chocolate form.

Expect ten unique courses designed for two, all packaged in a fitting box. There’s a spin on Shewry’s Simple Dish of Potato, Cooked in the Earth Which it Was Grown, Attica’s Secret Baked Cheesecake, and The Lamb Brick, AKA the Dish that Saved Attica.

This bespoke creation is now available for pre-order here.

If you don’t want to shell out the $499 for the box, you can still experience the Shewry and Brigou creations, available in-store and online at a much cheaper price.

Pick up the Finger Lime Clouds, Plight of the Bees, and Ben’s Rocky Road for $19.90.

A gift cube of the three chocolates is also available for $64.90.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
