This New KFC-Themed Hotel Has a 24-Hour Fried Chicken Concierge

Dreams really do come true.

Why has it taken so long to open a KFC-themed hotel? Fried chicken and bed: it sounds like the perfect business model to us.

A world-first KFC themed hotel suite, is set to open in London’s Shoreditch later this month, and we can only pray that it’ll find it’s way to Australia.

The hotel suite has everything a die-hard chicken fan could possibly want. It’s like something out of a childhood dream (so far fetched that you’d never imagine it to possibly come true), including a “Press For Chicken button for 24 hours KFC deliveries.

UM, yes please. We can see a big night in on the horizon.

As a nod to the Colonel’s secret recipe of eleven herbs and spices, the number eleven suite will be open for eleven nights: August 18 – August 29.

Is your mouth tingling for some fried chicken right about now? Yeah, same. Seeing as a quick trip to Shoreditch is off the cards for now, maybe we should convince some of our luxe hotels to flip their business model into a 24 hour fast-food offering.

But for now, let’s sit tight in our KFC branded ugly Christmas sweaters and KFC Crocs and whip up a Tender Chicken Sando at home.

Bookings are available exclusively on Hotels.com for $209AUD, from 11am on August 11th.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
