Despite the gloomy weather, there are still a few weeks of summer left, so why not take a culture trip to Western Sydney for the month-long music festival, Great Southern Nights. This live music initiative will see over 30 artists complete a stellar line-up performing from March 18 to April 10.

Ball Park Music, Confidence Man, Illy, Kate Ceberano, Marcia Hines, Montaigne Sheppard and The Jungle Giants are among the headline performers added to an already star-studded line-up for the three-week program being delivered by Destination NSW and Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA).

Following its hugely successful debut in 2020, Great Southern Nights will again create jobs and revenue for artists, venues and crew in Sydney and across regional NSW, highlighting the State’s rich live music culture.

Prepare to belt out powerhouse pub classics from Aussie legend Jimmy Barnes, as well as The Veronicas, Peking Duk, The Jungle Giants, Jessica Mauboy, Missy Higgins, and plenty more talented artists.

Each performance will take place in varying stages across Western Sydney, including the Sydney Coliseum Theatre in Rooty Hill, Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, and The Whitlams.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
