Connoisseur’s Indulgent New Ice Cream Is Like Biting Into a Jam Doughnut Without the Mess

Connoisseur adds two more additions to its Laneway Sweets range.

Summer is here, which means it’s time to restock the freezer with our favourite ice creams.

We have no doubt there will be some exciting new flavours and combinations coming out soon, but for now, we’re obsessed with Conoisseur’s new flavours.

The first is a Golden Blondie with a rich centre of white chocolate swirled with caramelised white chocolate syrup. It’s also packed with blondie pieces and coated in delicious golden chocolate and more blondie pieces.

The second is a jam doughnut, which will make you think you’re biting into a jam doughnut. The cinnamon infused ice-cream is packed with doughnut-flavoured pieces, mixed with sweet cream ice cream, and to top it off is all swirled together with rich raspberry syrup.

If you want to get your hands on any of the above ice creams, run to your nearest supermarket. The Golden Blondie sticks come in a multipack of four and cost $9.50. The 1-litre tub of jam doughnut ice cream is $12.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.
