Picking a road trip destination is easy. Picking the snacks, not so much. We all have a go-to, and whether it’s a salty chip or a chewy lolly, the road trip snack is almost as important as the playlist.

Allen’s has fixed all our problems by making the Big Aussie Road Trip, an adventure-filled collection of lollies inspired by iconic Australian destinations.

Each flavour celebrates a fruit-growing region in Australia. The banana pays homage to Coffs Harbour, NSW, the pineapple reminds us of Maryborough, QLD, and the apples awaken memories of travelling down the epicurean highway to Adelaide Hills, SA. There are even strawberries from Wanneroo, WA and oranges from Riverina, NSW.

Pack them on your next road trip and everyone in the car will thank you.

The Big Aussie Road Trip mix is now available at Woolworths, Coles, IGA, and other independent supermarkets.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
