Meal kits are the ultimate no-fuss dinners. Everything is included in the box, the recipe is included and most importantly, you still get to enjoy the fun of cooking and making a meal, but without thinking too much about it. It’s convenient, and now the masters of convenience—Aldi—have launched their own meal kits.

With an established legion of loyal fans flocking to exclusive special buys and filling trolleys with their own-brand food products, Aldi is about to get that much more loved with their $4 DIY meal kits.

Unlike online subscriptions where they deliver the kit to you, Aldi’s meal kits can be picked up in-store, and include all the vegetables chopped up and ready to go. The only thing it doesn’t include is protein or carbohydrates. You will need to pick them up in-store, which is convenient considering that’s where the meal kits are sold.

In the kit, you will find all the fresh ingredients you need and a sauce that completes the meal. All that’s left is to pick the protein and carbohydrates, such as noodles. You can tailor each meal to what you like, from choosing chicken to tofu or beef. The choice is yours.

According to the Aldi website, a meal kit will feed a family of four for around $14 per meal, which works out to be $3.50 per person—what a steal.

Their meal kit range includes a variety of cuisines including, pad thai, chilli con Carne, butter chicken, green curry, and pho soup.

Get down to your nearest Aldi today, and get dinner sorted.

Mad Mex’s New Menu Item Is Inspired by a Popular Mexican Street Food

mad mex chicken al pastor

Mexican restaurant chain Mad Mex has dropped a new protein, and it’s one of the most popular street foods in Mexico.

Enter, Chicken Al Pastor. It’s traditionally made with pork and grilled on a spinning rotisserie with a pineapple sitting a top, but Mad Mex has put its own spin on it, serving chicken bathed in an Al Pastor marinade with a touch of juicy pineapple.

You can order the protein-packed filling in your favourite burrito, bowl, quesadilla, nachos, or in a taco.

As always, these things are here for a good time, not a long time. Pop into your local Mad Mex restaurant, order delivery or through the Mad Mex app today.
