We Tried Melbourne’s Viral TikTok Burger, But Does It Live Up To The Hype?

Green Phoenix is Sydney Road’s latest cafe edition, and it’s 100% Instagrammable.

With calming navy blue interiors and sleek modern design elements, the cafe is the perfect canvas to contrast it’s almost fluoro coloured food.

From the team at Temperance Society, Green Phoenix has only been open for one week, and it’s already lining up with the Instagram paparazzi. The food is seasonal, local, plant-based and super colourful, with actually delicious vegan options and creative flavour combos.

One of their burgers, ‘The Cotta’ has caught the eye of a few TikTokers, going viral within days of the cafe’s opening. It’s a vanilla and mango panna cotta with dark choc cake, fruit slaw, bbq chocolate sauce, stacked in between panna cotta buns, it’s then served with orange churros and berry coulis.

It’s weird, it’s yum and it’s so beautiful to look at, you almost don’t want to slice into it.

Green Phoenix also has amazing smoothies and cocktails, for that mid-week boost.

Currently open for brunch and lunch, a little birdy told us that Green Phoenix is planning on turning into a bar in the evenings, as well as offering a bottomless brunch on the weekends.
