One of award season‘s buzziest movies is coming to HBO Max. In February, you’ll be able to catch Judas and the Black Messiah on the streaming service the same day as its theatrical release. The film starring LaKeith Stanfield and Daniel Kaluuya is a historical drama that recounts how the FBI infiltrated the Black Panthers in order to kill organizer and revolutionary Fred Hampton, and it’s well worth watching. Exciting TV is also on the way, like the Danish thriller based on a true-crime story The Investigation and It’s a Sin, a Channel 4 limited series hitting stateside that explores the AIDS epidemic in London and stars Olly Alexander of the indie pop group Years & Years. Old favourite series, from the Bill and Ted and Austin Powers movies to The Matrix trilogy, also become available, and so much more.

And what it means to be in the year of the Rabbit.

where to celebrate lunar new year australia

Starting with the new moon on Sunday, January 22, this Lunar New Year ushers in the year of the Rabbit. We’ve put together a guide on celebrating the Lunar New Year in Australia.

What is special about the year of the Rabbit?

As you might know, each year has an animal sign in the Chinese Zodiac, which is based on the moon and has a 12-year cycle. This year, we celebrate the year of the rabbit, known to be the luckiest out of all twelve animals. It symbolises mercy, elegance, and beauty.

What celebrations are taking place and how can I get involved?

There are plenty of festivals happening all around the country which you can get involved with. Here they are per state.
