For all you diehard baseball fans out there, the most wonderful time of the year has finally arrived. One of the best things to do in the springtime is catch a game at the Atlanta Braves’ Truist Park. That’s because aside from serving as a state-of-the-art facility to watch America’s favorite pastime, the stadium and surrounding area at The Battery is home to some amazing shopping, restaurants, and bars.
From Dale and Nancy Murphy’s acclaimed eatery and Doc’s Food & Spirits located about five minutes from the mound to concession stands churning out classic bites, Truist Park and its surrounding area have plenty of options. So when you’re headed out to cheer on the Braves, here are the best places to eat and drink near Truist Park.
The Battery Located in a prime location just beyond the entrance of Truist Park, this swanky establishment has hundreds of wine choices and a stellar brunch menu. On Mondays CRÚ offers a free pizza when you cop a bottle of wine, and Thursday is the establishment’s infamous “Champagne Social,” where you can get half-off Champagne from 4 pm to close. The International Cheese Flight is second to none, and the charcuterie board will fill you up after indulging on the restaurant’s extensive drink menu.
The Battery C. Ellet’s offers prime cuts and traditional American meals like cheeseburgers, Surf & Turf specials, and a New England lobster roll. Staying true to its southern roots, this steakhouse serves Fried Shrimp Po’ Boys and Dirty Rice. At the bar’s Oyster Window, you can enjoy specialty drinks and handcrafted cocktails as the live jazz band plays on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 pm.
The Battery Baseball, beer, and barbecue: the holy trinity of the South. You can get all three only a hop, skip, and a jump from Braves Stadium at Terrapin Taproom & Fox Bros. The restaurant has some of the best wings in the city, as well as a selection of barbecue that includes pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked ribs. After devouring their signature dish of tater tots smothered in chili and melted cheese called The Lopez, you can hit the Brew Lab to test its many baseball-themed beers.
The Battery This New York-style deli company is like heaven for sandwich lovers. Goldberg’s famous Po’ Boys has been a staple since 1972, and they can put just about anything you can think of between two pieces of bread. To start, the Bagel Beignets always hit the spot and the Brooklyn Rueben provides the perfect combination of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and rye. The outdoor patio is famous for its people watching on the weekends, so grab a seat.
The Battery Baseball and ice cream season go hand in hand. So you can’t go wrong with a scoop from Jeni’s. With flavors like Brambleberry Crisp and Gooey Butter Cake, it’s hard to choose just one. Luckily, you don’t have to and each set of scoops comes with a triangle of waffle cone to sample.
The Battery This 25,000-square-foot establishment overlooking The Battery has games galore and a menu that caters to any situation. Hungry? You can chow down on Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp & Polenta or enjoy a southern favorite, Chicken ‘N Waffles. Each dessert item will only cost you about $7 or $8, and the drink list includes specialty punches, traditional cocktails, fancy wines, and almost any beer under the sun.
The Battery With a collection of six different vendors-Kung Fu Tea, Lifting Noodles Ramen, Poke Burri, Taps, Fan T’Asia, and 26 Thai Kitchen-PH’EAST is fashioned after Asian hawker markets. The spicy seafood bowl at Lifting Noodles is a great mix of sweet and sour, and Poke Burri’s unique Burrito Rolls cost about $11. The weekly live music matches the outside vibe of Truist Park, so step on over to Kung Fu Tea, grab a strawberry lemonade, and enjoy the sun.
The Battery Antico Pizza Napoletana has a delectable list of pizzas and calzones on its menu, and some Meatball Lasagna that will make you feel like you’re back in the Old Country. On game days, Antico is where it’s at because the staff rolls out the big kegs and they stay open late as a refuge for super fans.
The Battery Created by award-winning chef Hector Santiago, this lively sandwich bar puts a different twist on classic Latino bakery foods. The Crab Queso and Smokey Mussels are both fire appetizer choices, and the Coconut Shrimp Pasta is a necessary order. The outside eating area is a prime location for the spring, and a nice place to sit and sip on one of their $15 frozen drinks.
The Battery Since 2018, this upscale restaurant has provided a beautiful cocktail bar and menu with dishes like Seared Diver Scallops served with Carolina Gold rice risotto, sweet peas, and salad, and a pork chop that’s fried country-style and smothered with peppercorn gravy.
The Battery If you’re a fan of sports and really, really, really big screen televisions, check out Live! It’s basically a one-stop shop. On the lower level, you can find some really good eats at The Tavern and drink the night away with friends at the bar located right by the front door. If you’re feeling adventurous, go upstairs to PBR or Sports & Social, where there’s live DJ’s, $6 house margaritas, and 50% off select starters.

Cumberland In the area surrounding Truist Park, Cumberland Mall is one of the best places in Metro Atlanta to shop and it’s also home to the upscale restaurant, Stoney River. The restaurant specializes in hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood selections, signature salads, and more, making it a perfect meet up spot before heading to Braves Stadium. You can choose from one-or more-of the hand-crafted cocktails, wines, or local draft beers to pregame opening pitch or stay put and catch the game from the comfort of your barstool.
Cumberland Just up the street from The Battery, Doc’s has been a staple in Cobb County for more than 40 years and is considered the quintessential Georgia sports bar. Exceptional drinks, billiards tables, and flags from the state’s favorite teams, this Smyrna gem is the perfect place to eat, drink, and play. If you decide to order Doc’s Famous Wings, you can choose from a variety of flavors like extra spicy, lemon pepper, teriyaki, or garlic parmesan. If you’re up early enough, you can pop in for brunch before the game on Saturdays and Sundays until about 3 pm.
Smyrna This family-owned Smyrna eatery has some authentic Caribbean cuisine-not to mention it’s only a five-minute drive from the stadium. Open seven days a week, Jamaica Mi Krazy specializes in jerk chicken, stews, patties, and all the fixings; plus the plates are large enough to satisfy even the biggest of appetites.
Cumberland Founded by Braves legend Dale Murphy and his wife Nancy, Murph’s is the perfect spot for a pre-game bite.
